Challenge
WASARA makes elegant, 100 % compostable, designer tableware –– and they needed a website that speaks for itself. In order to clearly portray the true essence of WASARA, it was essential to develop a copy that clearly informs the earth-friendly aspect as well as their Japanese aesthetic and subtle sensibility that lay at the foundation of the brand. Our challenge was to build a website that is both educational and informative while maintaining the minimal and artistic nature of the collection.
Execution
When developing a copy for WASARA, the first step was to gain a thorough understanding of the target audience and the current industry standard to ensure the compelling delivery. WASARA is the one and only compostable tableware with visual delicacy unlike other compostable tableware available in the current market. We made sure our voice was aligned with the refined look and feel of WASARA and set the tone that speaks to those who appreciate the craftsmanship behind the product. Through pages like "Our Manufacturing Process" and "Our Design", we answered the questions the buyers may have in regards to sustainability and communicated what makes WASARA a tableware in an artform.


Tradeshow
By directly approaching the buyers through NY NOW tradeshow exhibitions (2015-2017), I recognized the potential demand in new industry channels; catering, restaurants and event planning. Strategizing to focus on their B2B sales have helped increase their market share and cultivate returning relationships with their customers.
