Challenge
Zero Japan (Bee House) makes timeless tableware with an array of colorways and sizes. With over 500 SKU’s, it was no simple task to organize the products by category and accurately inform customers on the style, capacity and usage. Beyond the basic specs, it was essential to articulate the “hidden” features that makes their products more user-friendly than the competitors in the sea of kitchen and tableware market.
Execution
When we were tasked with writing the copy for the ZERO JAPAN website, our first step was to understand the appropriate usage, serving amount, and thoughtful details that went into designing each style. Since the tea and coffee culture in Japan and U.S. are slightly different, as well as an expected serving in 1 setting, we researched how their products can be integrated into the lifestyle here in the States. We were able to create a copy that is not only informative but the customers can envision utilizing their products in their day-to-day.

Product Description
With similar designs available in the ecommerce market, it was necessary to clearly depict what makes Zero Japan products more "worth the purchase" than other teawares. We have communicated the well-considered details that differentiates them from other teapots such as easy-to-hold handles and a spill-free lid. Additionally, the traditional process of making ceramic pots in a kiln allowed Zero Japan teapots to offer primal temperature for enjoying tea, a key quality that cannot easily be imitated.
